Top 5 things to do in Los Angeles 8/11/17
1. Sundance Next Fest
Great for both film-lovers and film-likers! Sundance combines a (not annoying) music festival with the LA debuts of some of the most talked about films at this years' Sundance.
Tickets vary in price, depending on what you want out of the festival. Check out their video above and /or link below.
2. Summer Nights in the Garden
This FREE summer program takes place every other Friday night in July and August.
Activities include everything from botanical tours and stargazing at their observatory to poetry slams and garden inspired cocktails.
This one is great for the family...and FREE!
3. BrunchCon
What's a BrunchCon, you ask? Exactly what it sounds like...a BRUNCH CONVENTION!
Head downtown to The Reef where your tickets get you all you can eat brunch foods from 50 LA vendors, as well as an endless mimosa bar AND a bloody mary bar.
What more do you want out of life?
It's happening both Saturday and Sunday.
4. CicLAVia - Long Beach/San Pedro
For those who have never been, CicLAVia is basically a block party that travels around to various neighborhoods in the LA Metro area.
This weekend it takes over dowtown Long Beach and San Pedro.
Bring your bike, your dogs, your stroller, your feet -- anything but a car. The roads will be closed to traffic, and it's a great way to really get to know a different part of Los Angeles.
5. Malibu Country Mart - Summer Block Party
Get out to the furthest west part of LA County, and head to the Malibu Country Mart for their annual summer block party.
This one is great for families, with tons for kids to do (petting zoo, face painting, sno-cones, and more) --- the best part? It's FREE!
Hit up the famous Malibu beaches before or after and make a day of it!
