Top 5 things to do in LA -- 9/15/17

1. Roaring Nights at the LA Zoo -- Friday Night

This is the last weekend for this summer series at the LA Zoo. The theme this weekend is 80s vs 90s.

Expect food, throwback music, lawn games, DJs, and pop-up zookeeper talks. Needless to say, there will also be a healthy dose of animal encounters unique to this night.

Tickets are also available for a discount on Goldstar, so shop around for the best price!

2. FREE Screening of Clue at Malibu Wines -- Friday Night

Come see the greatest film of all time, Clue, at Malibu Wines! (Okay, maybe not the greatest, but it's pretty damn great.)

Their "movies under the stars" series continues this Friday. Admission is FREE, but follow the link below to reserve a spot.

Feel free to bring your own wine, or better yet, purchase some of the local selection there.

3. The 15th Annual Tarfest -- Saturday Afternoon

It's baaaaaaaack.

The La Brea Tarpits play host to their annual FREE festival, dedicated to bringing attention to the arts in Miracle Mile.

Live bands, food trucks, a biergarten courtesy of Lagunitas, as well as a wine bar, will all be on hand.

It runs from 2pm-10pm and there will be various kids activities too. All supporting the local art scene.

4. The California Vegetarian Food Festival -- Saturday and Sunday 10am - 5pm

No this isn't an oxymoron. Vegetarian Food Festivals do exist...and are delicious. The carnivores in your life will even enjoy it. I promise.

There will be music, and games for the little ones, but the food is the main attraction. Live cooking demos, endless samples, and meals for purchase will take over Raleigh Studios on Melrose this weekend.

Get you tix though GoldStar to save a few bucks...
