April in LA -- Top 3 things to do this month

1. The Museum of Selfies -- Glendale, CA

Regardless of your thoughts on the "selfie" phenomenon, this exhibit goes back 40,000 years in human history to show the evolution of self-representation.

From cave drawings to Kardashians, people have been trying to depict themselves in some form or another since the dawn of man.

This pop-up museum walks the visitor through the entire history, while providing multiple interactive installations where they can (of course) also take their own selfies and contribute to history.

Even if you hate the selfie, you'll enjoy this exhibit.

2. Renaissance Pleasure Fair -- Irwindale, CA

I understand people either love or hate a renaissance festival, but for those of you who love renaissance realness, SoCal puts one on that measures up with the best festivals around the country.

Come for the corsets, stay for the turkey legs.

This fair has a myriad of events for kids, but also some definitely more "adult" fare as well. And let's not forget the endless beer and ciders.

This runs all thru April, with tickets under $30.

3. DODGERS ARE BACK!!! -- Dodger Stadium

Okay, so technically they start at the very end of March, but (obviously) it's running throughout April.

The best nights to go, in my humble opinion, are the Friday night home games. Even if you have friends/family that aren't big baseball fans, the Friday night games have a FREE firework show included.

This April those dates are 4/13 & 4/20 -- those nights can sell fairly fast, so get your tickets now.
