Lead Based Paint -- Whose Responsible?

There was a recent court case that caused some confusion for homeowners about the responsibility of lead paint.

However, as you can see below, not much has changed when it comes to the owner's liability.

If the house you own was built before 1978, you just have to fill out a disclosure stating your knowledge of any lead paint.

Otherwise, you needn't worry. There has been some misinformation by paint manufacturers trying to pass the buck to homeowners...but that is inaccurate.
