Top 3 Things to do in May
1. Eat See Hear Outdoor Movies -- All Summer
By now everyone has been to (or heard of) the insanely popular outdoor screenings at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
But did you know that for the past 5 years there has been a travelling alternative?
The Eat See Hear summer movie series travels to different parts of LA and turns the area into more of a street festival atmosphere.
The first screening kicks off May 5th in North Hollywood with Despicable Me. Click on the pic below for more info on the whole summer series.
2. LA Comedy Festival - May 17th - 20th - West Hollywood
The 22nd annual LA Comedy festival runs during the 3rd weekend in May.
Expect stand-up acts, comedic short films, and independent features to make their debut during this year's festival.
While not quite on the level of the Toronto Comedy Festival yet, it's definitely a festival to watch with a lot of up and coming talent.
Tickets for the various programs are mostly $10 and less too!
3. Valley Greek Festival - Northridge - Memorial Day Weekend
The San Fernando Valley is holding the 45th (!!!) annual celebration of all things Greek.
Taking place up in Northridge the festival will have dancing, drinks, food, games, and ways to meet and greet some of LA County's citizens of Greek heritage.
Set up on the lot of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Greek Church, the festival is set up to mimic life in a Greek village, and all it has to offer.
