Get your yard right

This week's graphic from the California Association Realtors stresses a frequently forgotten part of the home: the yard.

In Los Angeles, an outdoor space is key to getting top dollar for your home. It doesn't need to be extravagant, but the weather is the number one reason why people move to L.A. So take advantage of the ability to be outside year round.

Especially with smaller homes, a living space outside increases the value exponentially, as it makes the entire home feel bigger, without having to do any heavy construction.

Even if you don't have much space to play with, a well-groomed outdoor area will pay for itself.
